Weren’t the environmentalists the very ones who made us switch from paper to plastic about twenty years ago? You remember, they wanted to save the trees. And that really bummed me out because I liked paper bags. Now I’m used to plastic, don’t take those away from me too.
“A ban on plastic bags could also cause some unintended consequences,” he said. In particular, the increased demand for paper bags would double greenhouse emissions and create “a dramatic increase in waste,” Christman said.
Well, somebody had better decide; paper or plastic? Because I’m not going to the store with one of those sacks that treehuggers lug around with them, don’t you know that those things carry germs?
