A Japanese man marries a video game character giving us a wonderful example of what exactly is wrong with today’s society. The man who chooses to go by the name SAL9000, married Nene Anegasaki who happens to be a character in the Nintendo DS video game “Love Plus.”
SAL9000 refuses to give his real name for fear of ridicule and being misunderstood. Believe me pal you don’t need to give your real name for the ridicule to head your way. The game “Love Plus” is a dating simulation on the popular Nintendo DS format.
The “couple” were married with all the bells and whistles of a traditional wedding. They even went on a honeymoon to Guam. Reuters reports that SAL9000 takes his DS wherever he goes, taking pictures of Nene Anegasaki next to historical landmarks and posting them on social networking sites.
Come to think of it, marrying a video game character may not be such a bad idea. If she ever gets to nagging you too hard you just simply hit the off switch. Be honest, how many men out there wish their wives came with an off switch?
As for me, I’ll stick to the real thing until they come up with a video game character that looks like Megan Fox.

UP YOUR KNOW-HOW
Leonard Read, the Founder of FEE, used to say “Improve you before trying to improve others.” It is embarrassing to argue with someone who appears to know more and grinds you into the dust. Yet, in politics, it is easy to find the roots of all arguments and see how issues follow those roots. That’s what I’ve tried to provide on claysamerica.com. If you know the roots, where the yellow brick road begins, you know better how to reach the conclusions you seek. You can take a reasoned position without passion and injury. Try it and see.
