Senator Harry Reid, pimp and chief, defended his multi-million dollar payoffs to Senators to secure his precious 60 votes on Saturday; saying that those who didn’t secure deals were idiots. Okay he didn’t say idiots but you get the picture. He actually said “it doesn’t speak well” of those senators who didn’t secure deals.

This from the Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) offered a vigorous defense Monday of the deals in the Senate reform bill that benefit individual states, saying “it doesn’t speak well” of senators who didn’t secure such deals.

What Reid really means to say is that there is plenty of the American people’s money to go around for the exclusive club that he and 99 other Senators make up. Or maybe he meant to say that it really isn’t so bad to prostitute yourself out the way Senators Landrieu and Nelson did. As long as pimp Harry gets what he wants.

Reid went on to shove his foot farther into his mouth by saying that the deals were nothing more than compromises. Reid said that all legislation is “the art of compromise.” Noting that different states have different problems requiring that such deals, excuse me compromises, be made.

Well that’s good to know, now that Reid and his cohorts are closer to passing healthcare every state will have a new set of problems to deal with. Merry Christmas.
