Speaking at the Gridiron Club, Sarah Palin used self-deprecating humor to entertain journalists who probably never knew the Governor had a sense of humor. If they didn’t know that they need to look back at her appearance on Saturday Night Live before the election. Palin, not the biggest fan of the MSM, used the ridiculous clichés about herself to her advantage; using jokes to tame the savage media.

Her best line of the night would have to be the one where she said that if she and McCain had won, Joe Biden would be the one on tour promoting his book “Going Rogaine.” How can you not love that? All good humor has an ounce of truth doesn’t it?

She also said:

“Sometimes you just have to trust your instincts,” she told the assemblage of senior Washington journalists. “And when you don’t, you end up in a place like this.”

Like I said, an ounce of truth; there might be a pound of truth in that statement. She also cracked on Steve Schmidt, who I’m convinced has no sense of humor whatsoever, when she said that if in the future she wanted a bald campaign manager she’d have to settle for James Carville. Believe it or not Carville would probably do a better job than Schmidt anyway.

Using Jokes to soften up Journalists, Palin said that she’s enjoying the view on the bus rather than under the bus, referencing of course the tough time she had with McCain staffers who have essentially blamed her for their defeat last November.
