The ladies (and I use that term sparingly) at Code Pink are calling Obama’s escalation of the Afghanistan War a “devastating announcement”. Looks like maybe President Obama’s attempt to smooth things over by blaming Bush just isn’t going to cut it with the radical left. Yeah, they hate Bush, and they’re willing to let him shoulder the blame for just about anything, but that doesn’t mean their stance on the war has changed just because Obama’s now in charge.

The following quote is from the Code Pink website, and yes I needed to shower after going there:

Let’s tell Obama: We Need an Exit Strategy, Not an Escalation!
President Obama is expected to announce a troop escalation in Afghanistan at West Point, NY on Tuesday, December 1, 8 PM Eastern. Join our national immediate response by protesting or vigiling after this devastating announcement.

Maybe Barry should have read their website before announcing that he would deploy 30,000 more troops. If he had he would’ve seen that it really wasn’t necessary. According to Code Pink, Al Qaeda isn’t even in Afghanistan anymore, never mind that pesky Taliban. The Afghan people probably want them in control anyway.

Secondly they say that sending troops won’t improve the security situation, poor economy or erosion of women’s rights. Yeah, like I said, the Taliban will be sure to institute an immediate stimulus package which includes one donkey per household as well as allow women to join the first Afghanistan charter of Code Pink. Cindy Sheehan plans on heading that one up.

If Obama loses the Code Pink ladies he’s in deeper trouble than I thought. The video below tells us what Code Pink thinks about the way America has chosen to fight the war on terror. We’re the evil ones now.
