You know the age old political question, “Who would you most like to have a beer with?” Let’s change that to who would you most like to have coffee with. In Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton’s case, each other; Palin writes in her book that she wouldn’t mind having coffee with Secretary Clinton.

Sarah Palin Holds Rally In Lancaster, Pennsylvania

When asked about it on George Stephanopoulos’s show, Hillary Clinton said she wouldn’t mind having a cup of coffee with Sarah Palin; surprising the two have never met. In Sarah Palin’s case, if she can sit down with Oprah and Barbara Walters, she could certainly muster the strength to have coffee with the former First Lady and one time media favorite.

An excerpt from “Going Rogue”:

“Should Secretary Clinton and I ever sit down over a cup of coffee, I know that we will fundamentally disagree on many issues, but my hat is off to her hard work on the 2008 campaign trail. …[A] lot of her supporters think she proved what Margaret Thatcher proclaimed: “If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman.”

This was of course followed by the famous Clinton cackle, which is always sort of a tell as to what Clinton is really thinking, but to her credit she gave a congenial and polite answer saying she’d love to sit down and have coffee with Palin.

I’m thinking Clinton would go with some kind of Latte, which may or may not be considered coffee (that’s up for debate), while it would be Maxwell House all the way for Sarah Palin. Just one man’s opinion on the Clinton/Palin coffee summit.
