Looking for a scapegoat for her poor showing in New York’s 23rd Congressional race, Dede Scozzafava has chosen every liberals favorite, Sarah Palin. Scozzafava in an interview slammed Sarah Palin for “attacking” her, when in reality Palin only endorsed her opponent Doug Hoffman. But then again to liberals if you don’t support them you’re attacking them.
I love the way the media is describing Dede Scozzafava even now; they say she’s a “moderate” Republican. CNN describes her as the “face of moderate republicanism”; refusing to call Scozzafava what she is, a liberal. Sarah Palin simply chose principle over party; Dede needs to get over it.
Scozzafava, after dropping out of the race, endorsed Democrat Bill Owens. I think that makes her opinion obsolete. This is what she said about Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Republicans:
“There is a lot of us who consider ourselves Republicans, of the Party of Lincoln. If they don’t want us with them, we’re going to work against them.”
You mean if Republicans don’t want liberals with them, they’re going to work against them? What’s new about that? “Moderate” Republicans are working against the party all the time anyway. It was only natural for Arlen Specter to do what he did; and Dede Scozzafava did what was in her heart to do anyway, back the Democrat. Hopefully there will be more hit the road as well.
Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Doug Hoffman showed that the NY-23 race wasn’t about Scozzafava as much as it was about sticking with principles. Dede needs to figure that out before looking for someone to blame. Sarah Palin’s just an easy target.

Scozzafava was endorsed by the loony left Daily Kos because she was the most liberal of all the candidates should have been a big tip off as to who she is. For Scozzafava to turn around and claim that she was attacked for no good reason is ridiculous, to say the least. When Palin endorsed Hoffman, she did not even mention Scozzafava by name, just said that Hoffman had better positions on fiscal matters, and supported smaller government.

Hello? Liberals *are* moderates. On the axis of government power they sit in the middle between laissez-faire conservatives and communists. BTW, Limbaugh, Coulter, Rove, et al are PART of “the media”.

If Sarah Palin is such a joke, you’d think the communists would want “us” to stay the course. I sense fear in the lib party. When you have to bring out “cigar” Clinton calling conservatives “teabaggers”, I see desperation.

I’ve never seen anybody attacked like Palin. Even when she’s been quiet they go after her. Some say that this intensity of attack over time has irrevocably damaged her. That may be true, but there’s a saying, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” If Palin does come out of this okay, she may be so toughened up that no attack will hurt her.
