Last week House Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the house version of Universal Healthcare, now a new Rasmussen poll finds that support for healthcare reform dropped 3 points to 42%. Seems like all opponents of big government need is for Nancy Pelosi to continue to make proposals and cut the public out of the proceedings.
The Rasmussen poll finds that support dropped from 45% a week ago to 42% this week. And consequently the number of those opposed to the bill rose by 3 points as well to 54%. Democrats not surprisingly overwhelmingly support the government takeover of healthcare, while Republicans and Independents oppose it.
It’s hard to say if Nancy Pelosi’s stunt the other day of unveiling the plan and not allowing the public to attend the ceremony hurt support for the legislation; but it couldn’t have helped.
Please Nancy, you and Harry(Reid) continue to act smug and all knowing when it comes to healthcare reform. Just look at the numbers, the American people don’t buy it and you know it. And just a bit of advice, next time you “unveil” a piece of legislation that will effect almost every American, actually take the veil off.

The headline is wrong. As you note in your article, only 42 percent SUPPORT ObamaCare. 54 percent oppose it.

Thank you Robert, that has been corrected.
