Well how about that? Mike Huckabee thinks it’s politically safe enough to endorse Doug Hoffman. Huckabee’s political action committee (Huck Pac) has officially endorsed Hoffman now. I saw a piece just the other day at The American Thinker about the political courage of certain Republican politicians. Some have it, some don’t. Some stick their finger up in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing, while others just go for it, i.e. Sarah Palin.
Now that the RNC and the entire Republican “establishment” are throwing in with Doug Hoffman, since it’s politically safe to do so, Huck Pac has done the same. Political courage is a big factor in a leader, don’t you think?
Just a note, the post at American Thinker didn’t just single out Huckabee but focused mainly on Mitt Romney. It did however mention Huckabee as well as Mike Pence.

Yeah, did any of those “politically courageous” people care about another lingering election in California. Harmer? YOU DON’T CARE BECAUSE THE SPOTLIGHT IS NOT THERE!!!! You are just plainly stupid in this article. The political winds are blowing in the conservative district 23 in New York so the COURAGEOUS people had their CONCERT there.
Gov. Huckabee did the right thing and that is simply to commit to the his PAC to conservative republicans and now that Hoffman becomes a de facto republican there goes his support. OUR support!
Question: If the Conservative Party nominates a true conservative in 2012, would those republican courageous people you said bow down and let go? NO.
The issue here is not conservatism, it’s about commitment to principles and party loyalty. Gov. Huckabee showed commitment to conservatism by showing his personal support to Hoffman while remaining loyal to the party he belongs to. Truly a mark of a GENUINE LEADER. It’s not pure politics, it’s leadership.
Mike Huckabee 2012.

You are just plainly stupid in this article. The political winds are blowing in the conservative district 23 in New York so the “COURAGEOUS” people had their CONCERT there.
Gov. Huckabee did the right thing and that is simply to commit to the mission of his PAC which is to elect conservative republicans and now that Hoffman becomes a de facto republican there goes his support. OUR support!
Question: If the Conservative Party nominates a true conservative in 2012, would those republican “courageous people” you said bow down and let go the presidency? NO. They easily lent their public endorsement to Hoffman because that is the POPULAR thing to do at the time being. Right now they feel safe in betraying a fellow republican.
All media outlets even Gov. Huckabee’s own Fox network paint him as politically scheming and unprincipled ambitious politician. If he was scheming enough, he would have done the same just like those “politically courageous people” that you seem to imply. Instead, he accepted this kind of bashing because he thinks his decision is the right thing to do. The media has no right to put a standard on true leadership. The same media allowed an OJT Superstar President. Now, America is drowning in debt.
The issue here is not true conservatism, it’s about commitment to principles and party loyalty. Gov. Huckabee showed commitment to conservatism by showing his personal support to Hoffman while remaining loyal to the party he belongs to by keeping the FORMAL endorsement of his Conservative Republican PAC uncommitted. Truly a mark of a GENUINE LEADER. It’s not pure politics, it’s exemplary leadership.
The true BRAVE MAN here is Gov. Huckabee. The enemy: stupid media pundits.
Mike Huckabee 2012.
P.S. not all Americans are stupid.

Another COURAGEOUS endorsement for Governor Huckabee was his endorsement for MARCO RUBIO in Florida. He went for him over the establishment pick. Let’s look at the full picture.

Get with the program, Ms. Bell. Huck gave a legitimate answer to why he couldn’t go “on the record” officially to back Hoffman. The reasons are legitimate and it rings true…get over it and go cover tthe story about why Obama is out stumping for Corzine…he’s scared silly that Corzine will lose (which most of us are hoping he does)!!!

Obama is scared of the NJ election, but he’s essentially scared of all of these races. If you’ll check some of the other posts on this blog you’ll see that we have covered Obama’s impending dread of Tuesday’s outcomes.

Huck is not a leader. He defers to the Establishment. The Establishment, that has to take responsibility for the republican disaster in 2008. Its time for a principled leader to emerge and I look towards those who put principle above party and endorsed Hoffman before the RNC did. i.e. Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson.

Will, if Huck deferred to the establishment, he wouldn’t have even run in 2008. The simple truth is that he has been “courageous” enough to back non-establishment candidates around the country but didn’t get involved in the 23rd for a variety of reasons–some of which will probably never be made public. Suffice it to say that the ill-informed who simply believe that Huck defers to the establishment would never have the “courage” to research the recent history of endorsements and stump speeches Huckabee has made recently so there isn’t much point in trying to dissuade those who put forth such nonsensical simplifications.
