The world’s in a mess, and Barack Obama was sent to help. At least that’s what Sting thinks. Sting, who is clearly qualified to determine who should lead the world, said that Obama was the best man for the job of leading the world. He even said that Obama was sent from God. Let’s hope he was joking.

In an AP story via Breitbart, Sting said about Obama:

“I can’t think of any be better qualified because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam,” he said.

I’m not really sure what that means, but I thought it was taboo to speak of Obama and Islam in the same sentence. Maybe Sting is referring to Obama’s background as a community organizer, the world is one giant community in need of a good organizer. His education? Ivy league President’s are a dime a dozen. Wasn’t our last President a graduate of Yale and Harvard Business School?

Here’s the best part of Sting’s comments; he said in reference to the opposition to his (Obama) policies:

“It’s aggressive and violent and full of fear,” he said of the backlash against Obama. “They don’t want change, they want things to feel the same because they feel safe there.

“My hope is that we can start talking about real issues and not caring about whether God cares about your hemline or your color,” he said. “We are here to evolve as one family, and we can’t be separate anymore.”

I could be wrong since I’m not one of the enlightened ones, but I think Sting just called opponents of Obama racists. You’d think someone as free-thinking as Sting could come up with a better argument than Al Sharpton.
