The Federal Election Commission is all that stands between Former Presidential hopeful John Kerry and his becoming a movie producer. Kerry is asking the FEC to use $300,000 dollars of his campaign funds to invest in a documentary about injured war veterans.
John Kerry is hoping to produce a film entitled “Keeping Faith”; the AP reports that Kerry would not be paid, but that he could earn up to 120% of his initial $300,000 dollar investment. Or I should say whoever has been goofy enough to contribute to John Kerry in the past investment.
Kerry would not only, help fund the film, he would line up vets for interviews, no doubt vets who are sour on war and probably share Kerry’s anti-American type views. And he of course would help line up investors; Kerry obviously has no problem getting his palm greased for all kinds of projects and campaigns.
Kerry has received praise and criticism for his service and for his protest of the Vietnam War. The movie is being made by a man named George Butler, Butler also made the film about Kerry “Going Upriver: The Long War of John Kerry” that was released during his failed 2004 run against George W. Bush.
I saw “Going Upriver”, during the campaign; it was pure propaganda trying to sway the election. Thank God it didn’t work. I can only imagine what exactly the motives for “Keeping Faith” are.
For the record, Kerry did receive permission from the Senate ethics committee as well to use campaign funds for this venture.
Kerry just the other day showed just how classy he is by saying that he wished it were Sarah Palin who were missing instead of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. That’s okay Senator Kerry, I wish all 100 senators would disappear for a while.
Just a refresher
