President Obama was weak on Iran today; just wanted to get that out there. This is from an interesting piece on The Politico today by Michael Calderone. In an attempt to sound like he actually knew what in the world he was talking about, Obama asked Nico Pitney of the Huffington Post to ask him about Iran. I kid you not. Watch the video to see the ridiculous exchange.

Since when did a U.S. President get to pick and choose the questions he would be asked? Oh, that’s right, January 20, 2009 is the answer. Not to belittle Nico Pitney, but Huffpo isn’t exactly on the same level as The New York Times yet, how did he rate being asked the second question of the press conference? And furthermore, how did he rate being “led” into the question by the POTUS.

Obama’s a joke, the situation in Iran is going to eventually be looked at as a missed opportunity. The people of Iran finally decided to stand up to their oppressive regime. Obama and his administration have been AWOL on this issue, period.

Even some of the other MSM types noticed how odd, this appeared to be. From the Politico piece:

CBS Radio’s Mark Knoller, a veteran White House correspondent, said over Twitter it was “very unusual that Obama called on Huffington Post second, appearing to know the issue the reporter would ask about.”

So, the question remains, did Obama and Huffington Post coordinate that question? Probably, probably not, it doesn’t really matter; the big question mark to me remains Obama’s answer.
